Sky Below the Honey is my first film to incorporate a relatively classical narrative structure. The project was supported by the Film Center of Serbia, and the film received the Best Experimental Film Award (Long Short category) at The Alternative Film Festival (Winter 2025 Edition), Toronto, Canada.

A photographer, accompanied by her dog, arrives in a small village in Southeast Serbia in search of Jasna, a person close to her who has gone missing. On this trip, she meets a 6-year-old boy, who also wonders about Jasna’s whereabouts.

A dream-like course of events, blending reality and fiction, objective and subjective perception, the past and the present, as well as the stillness of photography and the dynamism of the moving image, invites reflection on childhood, role models and influences, empathy, closeness, introspection, new beginnings, and hope.
