Installation on a curved wall (book pages, marker) / Mikser Festival, Belgrade, Serbia / 2012
After reading a novel, I erased its narrative structure by crossing out all but one randomly selected word on each page. The title and original content of the book are irrelevant to the work; what remains is a fragmented linguistic structure, detached from its original meaning yet retaining a distinct rhythm and visual coherence.
The work explores the relationship between reading, memory, and imagination: what persists of a narrative when its form is removed, and whether the erasure of a text can ultimately become a way of remembering it.
